The University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to join our University Advancement team as the Director of Parent & Family Development. In this key leadership role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to engage parents & families in supporting UC Santa Cruz through philanthropic initiatives.
The Director will play a pivotal role in cultivating strong relationships with parents & families, fostering a culture of giving, and driving fundraising efforts to advance the university’s mission and goals. They have an annual set of established goals, including visits, asks, and dollars. It is expected that the Director will be in a position to secure $1 – 3 million+ annually within a highly fluid portfolio. As a critical frontline fundraiser, they are responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting, or arranging for the solicitation of gifts of $50,000+ from individuals and other family-giving entities.
